Shanahan Engineering awarded multi-million £ construction contract by Tecnicas Reunidas for Teesside Plant

Shanahan Engineering has been awarded a multi-million pound contract by Tecnicas Reunidas for the erection of the Air Cooled Condenser at the Teesside biomass plant in Middlesbrough, UK.

At 299MW, when completed the Teesside biomass plant will be the largest purpose built dedicated biomass plant in the world. A team of local subcontractors and staff will be hired to support Shanahan Engineering's efforts in executing this contract.

Lucrecio Ruiz of Tecnicas Reunidas said, "Shanahan Engineering's unique experience of both global and UK power plant experience, alongside their tailored proposal, made them our first choice for this project.

"The bespoke Project Management and program expertise recommended by Shanahan Engineering not only meet our requirements, but they will also add significant value to our Teesside plant."
